Journey through most of Uganda’s National parks in 10 days. Explore the rich plant and animal life in these habitats ranging from the primates to the cats, to the reptiles. Uganda is ready to share its long kept secrets with you on this 10 days journey.

 

DAY 1: Arrival at Entebbe international airport- Uganda.

Arrival at Entebbe international airport where you will be met and greeted by our guide or representative and then transfer to your hotel.

 

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison falls National Park.

Early morning, drive north to Murchison falls National Park the largest in Uganda. Stopover at the Zziwa Rhino sanctuary which houses a number of orphaned Rhino and numerous bird species. Time allowing pass via the top of the falls.

 

Day 3: Game drive and launch cruise on the Nile in Murchison falls.

An early morning game drive on the northern banks of the Nile you may spot herds of Elephants, Buffaloes, Antelopes, the endangered Roth’s child Giraffe among others. Later in the afternoon, enjoy a 2 hours boat cruise on the Nile all the way to the bottom of the falls. Enjoy the beautiful display of wildlife on the banks from the Hippos, Crocodiles, Elephants, Buffaloes among others to the birds including the very popular Shoebill stork.

 

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale forest national park.

After breakfast we will check out of the lodge, and transfer to Kibale forest National Park. The drive is quite long but interesting as you pass green plantation and traditional homesteads.

 

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest National Park.

Early morning assemble at the park headquarters for the briefing before being led into the rich tropical forest in search of the Chimpanzees. the forest also boasts of a ton of other mammals among which are the Mangebeys monkey, Baboons, L’Hoest’s monkey, the Colobus monkey and a rich diversity of birds and plants. In the afternoon enjoy a guided nature walk through the Bigodi wetland sanctuary and visit the women’s crafts project KAFRED.

 

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park- Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel.

Early morning breakfast before transferring to Queen Elizabeth National park an open with a diverse species population. We could stopover at the equator in Kasese for few photos standing in two hemispheres at the same time. We will arrive just in time for Lunch and check into the lodge, after lunch, take a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel that joins Lake Edward to Lake George. Lined with a number of animals and bird species.

 

Day 7: Game Drive and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest.

Early morning game drive on the tracks of Kasenyi where you possibly may encounter Elephants, Buffaloes, Kobs, Antelopes, Waterbucks, Lions, on a lucky day the Leopards among others; later transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park via the Ishahsa sector where the winding roads and the terraced hills enhance the scenes en-route.

 

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

After an early breakfast , assemble at the park headquarters where you will receive a briefing on the Gorilla trekking activity. There after you will be split into small groups of eight. Begin the trek of the endangered mountain gorillas from the point where they were last spotted. The trek is some hard work but pays well when you meet these primates and the hour spent with them is worth the strain.  Return to the lodge for a rest and refreshment. Depending on the time and ability you may have a community walk or a nature walk.

 

Day 9: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park.

Check out of the lodge after breakfast and transfer to Lake Mburo National park, the smallest national park in Uganda yet with lots to offer. Arrive in time for lunch and after lunch take on a boat cruise on Lake Mburo where you may encounter some Hippos, Crocodiles, Zebras among others. Time allowing you could enjoy a nature walk to the salt lake area.

 

Day 10 Departure- end of 10 days Uganda safari

Early morning game drive as we depart Lake Mburo National park may spot some Zebra, Buffaloes, Kobs and many others in the open acacia woods. Continue to Kampala via Mbarara town with a stopover at the equator and the Royal Drum makers in Mpigi.
